Founding Roots

BIOGRAPHY OF JEVOYAN DAHAQUA

Founder of the DAHAQUA Family Legacy

Jevoyan Dahaqua, born in Kingston, Jamaica, is the founder and first bearer of the DAHAQUA name — a name that represents identity, legacy, and generational strength. Raised in the quiet, hilly community of Stony Hill, Kingston 9, Jevoyan grew up surrounded by love, discipline, and culture. Born to parents Norman Dilworth of St. Andrew and Dianna Reid of Westmoreland, he was rooted deeply in Jamaica’s diverse heritage from both sides of the island.

From a young age, Jevoyan showed determination and curiosity. He attended SOS Kindergarten, Lawrence Tavern Primary School, and later Jamaica College, where he became a talented track and field athlete. Sports introduced him to discipline and gave him the mindset to push beyond limits — a mindset that would later define his entire life.

At a pivotal moment in his youth, Jevoyan moved to the United States alone in 2016, carrying only his ambition and the belief that he was meant for more. This bold step shaped the man he would become. With no roadmap and no guarantees, he built a new foundation from scratch in a foreign country, working his way into aviation — a dream that many considered impossible for someone from his background.

By age 25, he achieved what he once saw only in the sky: he became a professional airline pilot, flying some of the world’s most respected aircraft — the Boeing 777, 767, 757, and the ATR 42/72. His journey took him across the globe to places like Hong Kong, Japan, China, Germany, South America, Alaska, Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East (UAE, Israel), and Thailand. Every flight strengthened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for culture, humanity, and purpose.

Known for being calm, intelligent, fast-thinking, helpful, and deeply knowledgeable, Jevoyan inspires those around him not just through his achievements but through his character. His mission now is clear:
to give his family the foundation, identity, and opportunities he never had growing up.
He lives in Florida, where he continues building the DAHAQUA legacy and preparing the next generation for greatness.

For Jevoyan, Jamaica is more than a birthplace — it is home, roots, culture, and the soil that molded him. His vision for his children and future generations is simple but powerful:
to leave behind a legacy of strength, knowledge, unity, and wisdom.
To ensure that every Dahaqua child knows who they are, where their name comes from, and what it represents.

👑 THE DAHAQUA FAMILY HISTORY

A Legacy Rooted in Reality, Elevated by Myth & Royal Symbolism

The DAHAQUA name is unlike any other in the world. It did not come from ancient colonial records or distant ancestry — it was created intentionally in 2020 by Jevoyan, as an act of empowerment and identity. After struggling to trace the true origins of his former surname “Dilworth,” he made a bold decision:
to build his own legacy from the ground up.

He imagined a name that carried royalty, strength, and modern identity, something his children could be proud of — a name with origin, meaning, and purpose. In 2024, he legally changed his last name, becoming the first in history to carry the DAHAQUA lineage.

🌍 Cultural & Mythological Roots

Even though the name is newly created, its spirit draws from the cultural essence of Jamaica and ancient African heritage:

  • Strength of the Lion — symbolizing leadership, courage, and protection

  • Wisdom of the Elders — honoring his parents, Norman and Dianna, whose sacrifices shaped his path

  • The Journey of the Migrant — reflecting the move from Jamaica to the USA in pursuit of a better life

  • The Traveler’s Spirit — enriched through global exploration as a pilot

In the mythological interpretation, the DAHAQUA lineage is said to carry:

  • Royal ancestry energy

  • The power of transformation

  • The courage to break generational limits

  • The calling to lead, protect, and uplift future generations

These symbolic roots make the DAHAQUA family both a modern creation and a timeless heritage.
